LED Lighting Project for Copper Mine in Americas -

Efficient Delivery in 45 Days, One-Stop Solution Lights Up Mining Operations

This case not only demonstrates the durability and adaptability of our LED lighting products (which can meet the needs of complex environments such as humid and dusty mining areas), but also highlights the core advantage of "one-stop service" - with efficient response and full-chain guarantees, we solve procurement pain points for global engineering customers, help them reduce procurement communication time by 30%, avoid the risk of matching accessories and lamps, and quickly realize lighting needs. This has become a key factor in ensuring production in mining areas before the rainy season.

In January 2024, A copper mine in the Americas was facing escalating safety risks due to insufficient lighting for nighttime mining operations and aging existing lamps. The mine urgently needed to replace these lamps with high-quality LED lighting equipment in batches. These equipment had to meet the needs of the mine's complex environment of high dust and humidity, and the installation and commissioning had to be completed before the rainy season (which begins in May locally) to ensure that mining progress was not affected.

To address the customer's core demands of tight deadlines and urgent needs, along with the time-consuming, multi-supplier integration, and the difficulty ensuring compatibility between accessories and lighting fixtures, Beijing Bambos launched a one-stop LED lighting procurement service. From core lighting products (flood lights, panel lights, and high bay lights) to compatible accessories, a single team oversees the entire process, eliminating the need for customers to work with multiple suppliers. We precisely matched 385 sets of high-protection LED flood lights (IP67 rated, suitable for the intense light requirements of open-pit mining areas) and 921 sets of LED panel lights and LED high bay lights (IP65 rated, suitable for enclosed/semi-enclosed areas such as mine workshops and dormitories). We also provided a full suite of lighting accessories (including terminal blocks, waterproof connectors, and mounting brackets).

From the customer's order placement to the entire lighting system clearing customs at the Port of Chancay and arriving at the Americas copper mine, the entire process took just 45 days—a 25% reduction from the customer's expected 60-day turnaround time. This allowed ample time for subsequent installation and commissioning, allowing the mine's lighting upgrade to be completed before the rainy season.
